The Arabic Language and Literature Study Program is one of the programs established by the Faculty of Humanities and Culture, Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University of Malang. Its implementation is based on the Decree of the Director General of Islamic Institutional Guidance (DIRJEND BINBAGA Islam) No. E\/107\/1998 dated May 13, 1998. On June 16, 2007, the Arabic Language and Literature Study Program received an \u201cA\u201d accreditation status based on the Decree of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) No. 010\/SK\/BAN-PT\/Ak-XV\/S\/I\/2013.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

                    a. Strength of Faith and Spiritual Depth<\/p>

                      • Having true faith in Allah, the Angels, the Scriptures, the Prophets, the Day of Judgment, and divine decree (qada\u2019 and qadar).<\/li>
                      • Developing remembrance (dhikr) and reflection (fikr) upon qauliyah (revealed) and kauniyah (natural) phenomena.<\/li>
                      • Having a strong commitment to fulfilling Allah\u2019s commands and avoiding His prohibitions.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

                          • Thinking, speaking, and acting in accordance with Islamic values.<\/li>
                          • Having a sense of responsibility, self-respect, integrity, the ability to socialize, and mutual respect.<\/li>

                            c. Breadth of Knowledge<\/p>

                              • Having the ability to use Indonesian correctly and appropriately in academic contexts.<\/li>
                              • Having basic proficiency in Arabic as a tool for studying Islamic sciences.<\/li>
                              • Having advanced proficiency in Arabic language skills.<\/li>
                              • Having a good understanding of the history of Arabic literature.<\/li>
                              • Having a good understanding of the culture and civilization of Indonesian society, Muslim communities, and Arab societies, as well as possessing cross-cultural understanding.<\/li>
                              • Mastering linguistics as well as theories of Arabic literature and culture.<\/li>
                              • Able to utilize linguistic knowledge and methodologies, as well as literary analysis, to study, analyze, and appreciate Islamic literary works.<\/li>
